Lush Review: Coffee Face Mask

Lush Review: Coffee Face Mask

I absolutely love LUSH as a whole and usually shop for bath products such as bath bombs. However, a while back, I came across this Cup O’Coffee exfoliating mask which smells exactly as it sounds! I am a coffee lover so this just seemed like the perfect mask for me. It can be used on your face and body which is always useful and it says on the tub that ‘this smooth blend has organic agave syrup inside to leave you feeling sweet’! Now who wouldn’t want to be left feeling sweet and refreshed?

I chose to go for the smaller pot (150g) as you get quite a lot of product for your money anyway and I will be able to get quite a lot of masks from it. The smaller pot is £6.75 and the larger pot (325g) is £12.25.

On first impressions, the scent really does smell like coffee and it’s quite a strong smell too. I think it’s a smell that coffee lovers will love but if coffee isn’t your thing, then you may not like it.

Appearance wise, the mask is a light brown colour with darker brown/black looking grains mixed in which I assume are the coffee grounds that assist with the exfoliating. As a result of the grains, the mixture is quite thick to apply but once on the skin, it feels so light you wouldn’t know you were wearing it. The mask stays soft and doesn’t harden or crack and it’s so refreshing and cool.

It is advised that the mask is worn for 10-15 minutes before washing off and massaging into the skin. I think I might have worn it for slightly longer but didn’t have any problems in doing so. The trickiest bit for me was washing it off! I only applied the mask to my face and thought I was able to remove it with a face wipe… however because of its thickness it wasn’t that easy and I was better off with a flannel and warm water.

Overall, I love this mask. It left my skin feeling so soft and smooth and I felt energised after wearing it!
