Summer Activities

Summer Activities

With Summer coming to an end, I started wondering if I had managed to exercise as much as I wanted to. From the beginning of the season, I told myself that eating healthy and exercising will help me improve my physical condition.

This is easier said than done due to having an evening job which provides me with a free meal. I was trying to be more confident in wearing shorts and smaller sizes. So, I told myself that eating late will have to become just a time to time thing instead of a regular habit. I started doing some activities every other day in order to have some summer activities and improve my physical health.

Going to the gym and swimming were my main activities for almost an entire month. I was very frequent at the gym for at least an hour.

My body really felt the difference and I could see how my muscles changed because of the workout. However, as the summer continued, I realised I am more of an outdoor person as I like to explore. I decided to give up the membership at the gym and started going in the park to run and do some exercises with a jump rope. Doing this, I believe it will help me gain more confidence in myself and my goal is to work harder and harder.

Being active for me means a lot, it gives me a positive vibe and makes me feel more comfortable within myself. My new challenge is to take it to the next level and have a meal plan to see how it will help me be healthier and combine it with the park exercises and see how it goes.

All of this requires either to be very confident in accomplishing this or to do it with a friend so that when one is feeling low the other one can contribute to raising morale and motivation.

I would definitely recommend starting to be more active, especially during summer holidays due to having lots of free time. Plus, we all need a break from the usual activities in order to recharge our energy and be able to start school and work full of excitement and dedication.
